BIOGRAPHY

Steve grew up playing and appreciating all types of music thanks to his mother who was pianist and music teacher for thirty-five plus years. He was kind of creative and introverted, and spent a lot of time playing his guitar eventually dabbling in cover bands in high school, college and beyond. He always had one foot in the real world and the other one on the road to chasing a dream of writing and playing his own music. On the fence between what is expected of you to satisfy others... and not necessarily making yourself happy doing it… he found himself searching for a reason, a sign or even a push in one direction or the other.

Then it happened… three heart attacks in his 30s, two flights for life and being SHOCKED back to life in a seven month span changing his life and perspective forever. Finding himself abandoned and empty handed he sought refuge and rehabilitation in music again, but this time he found having nothing to lose helped him find is voice and powerful lyrics and guitars honing his raw organic songwriting style. His experiences evolved into a collection of songs appropriately titled Left 4 Dead... soon after SHOCK THE PATIENT was formed to record and perform them. The raw original tracks  "Room to Breathe" and "Sugar" dripped with raw emotion, while NEW tracks like "Can't Get Enough" and "Up Side Down" bring back memories of guitar driven rock n' roll anthems and power ballads.

"Recent events created opportunities to re-connect with the creative process resulting both the new and and the improved. I look forward to sharing them with you!" ~ steve
